Memory strata

The concept “Strata of memory” technically refers to the hierarchical organization of human memory. The work strata of memory explores the accumulation of memories as archaeological layers. Metaphorically, each piece of cardboard and rust references time, as do the growth rings of trees to accurately date past events, as do the marks of water as it evaporates.
